Dried tomatoes are a foodstuff with an intense flavor, obtained by dehydrating fresh tomatoes and drying them in the sun or in the oven. They have an important place especially in Mediterranean cuisine.
Ripe, tasty and low-juice tomatoes are selected and transported to the processing center.
Wash the tomatoes thoroughly under water, cut them in half or quarters and remove the seeds.
Dry in direct sunlight for 5-10 days. Can be covered with a sheet to protect at night.
Tomatoes are stored in airtight containers to preserve their flavor and nutritional value.
